'TIS THE SEASON TO BE SPARKLY!!!

Greetings gorgeous gal pals! Welcome to the holiday season and welcome to the season where Mabel's motto is: All that glitters is.....ON YOUR FACE!! 

That's right, ON YOUR FACE! This is the one time of the year when the more shiny, sparkly and reflective you are, the better! All those parties with dim light and candle light. All those dresses made entirely of sequins. Ohhhh, I get excited just thinking about it all!

 Now, here are some tips on how to use these eye opening, shimmering products that can make you shine brighter than the ball that drops on Time's Square at midnight!

Shimmer Creams: Available now from makers such as Cover Girl and Maybelline, simply apply a light layer over your foundation and blend. Your face will catch every piece of candlelight in the room and set men's hearts on fire!

White Eye Highlighter: I recommend this year round, but especially so during the holidays. After applying foundation, dot this white cream under your eyes along the cheekbone. Blend. Done properly, your eyes will look brighter and attract more attention. Done improperly, you will look like a photo negative of a football player ready to take the field.

Body Dust & Lotions: Bare shoulders, collarbones and cleavage simply yearn for these products. Dust the powder along your collarbones and over your shoulders. If using the lotion type, simply blend wherever you wish the lights to dance across your skin.  Nearly every lotion manufacturer from Jergen's to Nivea now has a Shimmer Lotion for less than $5!

Face & Hair Jewels: That's right, jewels for your face! Small, round, sparkly and adhesive, place them along your cheekbones and be the goddess of the New Year! The ones for your hair actually SNAP together and hold tightly till you UNSNAP them. So let your La Vida go Loca on the dance floor. Shaking your Bon, Bon will NOT shake them loose!

Eye Shadows: Go all out with the silver and gold for the holidays! Silver on your lids and gold in the creases will have you looking like the femme fatale of Fort Knox! If you feel especially daring, opt for one of the special gold or silver mascaras available this holiday season!

Knockout Nails:  While a French Manicure is always a conservative fashion choice, the holidays are prime for "kicking it up a notch"!  Try the new Chrome Collection from Sally Hansen.  In hues ranging from Aqua to Ruby to Copper, your nails will be shinier than aluminum foil! The perfect match for all those sequins and glitter!

Lipstick: Last but never ever least, let those luscious lips sparkle and shine! Skip those products that say "matte". Matte means FLAT, boring, lifeless. You want "pearl", "shimmer" and "shiny".  And be sure to apply a drop of clear gloss directly in the center of your lower lip.   The lights will be beckoning every man in the place to kiss you first at the stroke of midnight.
